A barrier island located in Florida’s Gulf of Mexico, St. George Island is four miles offshore from the mainland towns of Apalachicola and Eastpoint. Accessible by a 4.5 mile bridge from Eastpoint, St. George Island is 20 miles long and varies in width from ¼ to ¾ mile. All of our vacation rental homes are never more than a five minute walk to the beach! St. George Island offers an uncommon vacation experience of “old Florida”. There are no traffic lights and no fast food restaurants, just simple peace and quiet. Our locals are proud to say, “You just can’t get there from here!”
St. George Island has been thoughtfully developed over the last fifty years with and much of the island is still covered with native long leaf pines and cabbage palms. There are many public access points to our world famous white sandy beaches and several public parks on the bayside as well, offering a myriad of activities. Sunbathing, swimming, fishing, crabbing, bird watching, kayaking – this island is paradise for those who love the water.
We pride ourselves on helping you find a vacation beach home that will provide the perfect backdrop to your memorable vacation. You can choose a rental home right on the beach with sea oats, sand dunes and waves in your backyard or you may prefer a waterfront rental home the Apalachicola Bay with a stunning sunset for every evening’s show. There are canal front homes which offer deep water docks and boat access for our avid fishermen. We offer rental homes with private pools and community pools, as well as pet friendly vacation homes so your “four legged family” doesn’t have to stay at home and can enjoy a beach vacation too!
